Speaking to ‘The Watchdog News’ about these developments, the source said, “COVID-19 patients are being housed on the hospitals’ fourth floor, that is where we have established the ward. Patients coming to seek any form of medical assistance will have to purchase a protective medical suit (Hazmat suit) worth rupees 1,400, which has to be to be worn throughout their hospital visit. Furthermore, patients will be asked to sign a mandatory declaration absolving the hospital management of any liability should a patient contract the coronavirus.
“It is my personal advice that resident only come to seek treatment only if it is an absolute emergency. The hospital is not responsible if a patient unintentionally contracts corona while seeking medical treatment. These are desperate times and requires everyone in the community to exercise caution and only venture out if absolutely required.” Added the doctor.
