In a positive development, a month-old-baby has defeated the Coronavirus and returned home from Mumbai’s Sion Hospital.
This recovery by a 36-day -old baby breaks away from the gloom surrounding the surge of COVID-19 cases in the city, and the state, which has witnessed the highest single day surge in Coronavirus cases.
The Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office’s official Titter handle shared a video of the infant, who emerged triumphant over the deadly virus, and was successfully discharged the Sion hospital on Wednesday.
The infant was given a hero’s farewell, with claps and cheers from the Hospital staff, who spent days making sure the child recovers.
Lauding the efforts of the healthcare professionals at Sion Hospital, and the miraculous recovery of the infant, the CMO Tweeted,
“For people of Maharashtra, age is no bar when it comes to putting up a fight! 36 days baby recovered from COVID-19 at Sion Hospital in Mumbai. Kudos to the team of Doctors, Nurses & Ward Boys.”
This is not the first time an infant made a full recovery in the city during this ongoing pandemic, a two-month-old had been successfully discharged after making a full recovery.
